Aperol Spritz

Aperol Spritz

🎵🎶 It’s my Birthday and I’ll drink Aperol Spritz all day if I want too🎶🎵
I can do that right? It’s #ThirstyThursday after all!!! Ok, today I’m keeping it short, no 4-page post today (but you agree… all that Jam info was important😂) Who else is obsessed with Aperol Spritz? I just discovered these a few years ago when we were planning our wedding in Italy and it quickly became one of our favourite cocktails!! We love it so much it was one of the signature cocktails at our wedding, the other one was a Negroni (a tad stronger, but still delicious). That beautiful painting was made by Shh My Darling 😍signature cocktail sign from tuscan wedding, Negroni for the groom, aperol spritz for the brideThe actual recipe for this cocktail is directly on the Aperol bottle so you don’t even need me really 🤷🏻‍♀️ (but… please keep reading, it’s my birthday after all 🤭) For all of you who are not yet team Aperol Spritz, let me convince you!! A glass of aperol spritz with prosecco cork So, easy peasy, 3 ingredients plus an orange slice for garnish, some people also add an olive!

1. 3 Parts Prosecco: Bubbles, an Italian Sparkling wine.
2. 2 Parts Aperol: An Italian Aperitif, that is a little bitter and a little sweet. Much less bitter than Campari (which you would use for Negronis). It has a bright orange colour, so it makes a really beautiful cocktail!
3. 1 Part Soda Water: Such as Perrier or club soda.two glasses of aperol spritz
Serve this over some ice, Nestle a nice piece of orange in there and that it’s it!! This is a great cocktail for a party, a wedding, a Thursday afternoon (that’s gonna be me🙋🏻), any occasion really!! I don’t tend to measure mine anymore I Just kinda “eyeball it” and they are always soo good!!
When we were at Monteverdi for our wedding, “Spritz O’clock” was part of our daily routine!! Gosh I wish I was there right now… but my back patio will have to do for now… It’s still pretty good though😏! That’s it folks, hope you love this one!! I have the day off so I’ll be enjoying a few of these Babies today!!

Happy Thirsty Thursday Birthday to me, now let’s pot them bottles 🍾🍾🍾
Cheers!!
XO, Nat
